The Sedona Chamber of Commerce will present the 2012 Sedona Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, 10K & 5K on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  The Sedona races are ranked as one of the most beautiful races in the country.  The course will speak for itself.  The red-rock views, stretches of soft ground and mild, high-desert temperatures help the Sedona Marathon events live up to its reputation of a world-class event.

Events/Races: Sedona, AZ offers a scenic and hilly course at 4 distances -- Full Marathon (26.2 miles), Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10 Kilometers (6.2 miles), and 5 Kilometers (3.1 miles). We pride ourselves on giving our runners an extraordinary experience with a weekend full of fun events. All races are open to runners and walkers of all ages and skills.

After putting all those miles on your running shoes training for the marathon and half marathon, 10K and 5K,  they can still have some life left in them if you donate them at the Expo.  A drop-off station will be set up at the Expo on Friday, February 3 and all donated running shoes and gently worn t-shirts will be donated to One World Running () for distribution. One World Running is an international program which provides running shoes to those in need in the United States and around the world.  When you make a shoe or shirt donation at the Expo, you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win some new running gear.

All Marathon and Half Marathon finishers will receive a 2012 Sedona Marathon Finisher Medal immediately upon crossing the finish line.  The Sedona Marathon offers over $12,000 in value in prizes to its top finishers.  The Awards Ceremony is held at  on Saturday post-race.  Prizes may include shoes, sunglasses and gift certificates.

3:30pm: Awards Ceremony at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village

Prizes are awarded in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K for the following:  Top three male and female Overall finishers, Age Group Awards to the top three in each age category.
